ZULFAH'S FLOWERS
Zulfah who is a single mother of two, has been helping at her cousin Gairo’s stand at the market . She started learning and working at the market when she was still in school and then went on to working in the jewellry business.
She tells me “10 years ago I decided to get back into the family business and I have never looked back”. Her journey back to the market demonstrates her commitment to preserving her family’s legacy and the strong connection she feels with the trade. While Zulfah may be shy, her friendly nature and strong work ethic shine through. She tells me that she loves the different types of customers that walk by everyday.
