ALISON'S STORY
Allison works together with her sister Karen and together they have their own business called The Sisters of Adderley Street. Alison has worked at the market for 40 years and is a third generation flower seller.
Her grandmother worked there for 50 years. Allison says she used to be an introvert but she loves the ‘hubbub’ of the market and enjoys chatting to the customers and getting to know their stories.
You can find Allison at the Granger Bay market on Saturdays where she sells her beautiful flowers. Alison’s bouquet consisted of Irises, blue thistle and strelitzia. She says she loves the combination of blue and yellow and how they compliment one another.
